In the existing NANOMET ROOF SHEET technology, rare earth elements are used for anti-corrosion of metals. In general, rare earth passivation of metals is adopted. Usually, the metals are immersed in a solution containing rare earth ions for a period of time, or the metals are polarized as cathodes to achieve passivation.
At present, chromate occupies a large proportion of metal passivation, but the hexavalent chromium produced in the process of chromate passivation causes serious environmental pollution and poses a great threat to human health. And a single rare earth passivation film is often difficult to achieve the ideal anticorrosive effect. The NANOMET ROOF SHEET generates gamma aminopropyltriethoxy silane film on the galvanized layer, and then deposits rare earth conversion film on the existing film.
The experimental results show that a layer of γ-aminopropyltriethoxy-silane film on NANOMET ROOF SHEET in advance can significantly increase the content of rare earth salt in the film. After silanization at the base, the content of rare earth elements in the film is 4 times of that of single rare earth, and the anti-corrosion effect is excellent.
